New Resource Recruitment are working on behalf of a long respected, financially strong, and well-established company to recruit a full time and permanent individual to fulfil the role of Junior HGV Mechanic. This could suit someone as an Apprentice, recently completed apprenticeship or a few years’ experience.
The Junior HGV Mechanic is on the front line and keeping the fleet moving, ensuring all required works are completed to the highest of standards.
To succeed in this role, you should be able to work on your initiative as well as part of a team, be practical and willing to learn and a keen interest in mechanical engineering and electrical work with the ability to solve problems.
This role is a critical role in the business to ensure the fleet are fully operational to meet business needs. Therefore, some flexibility and the ability to prioritise is important.
The role will require the right candidate to work across multiple departments and the ability to communicate with all levels of the business is key.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining the fleet of vehicles to ensure production deliveries are met.
* Work and adhere to health and safety standards and policies
* Ensure insurance inspections and MOTs are kept up to date.
* Maintaining a clean working environment.
* Participate in all training initiatives specific to the duties required
* Car B licence (car) would be preferred.
