We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Quality & Compliance Lead to manage and oversee Quality Systems within a large manufacturing fabrication business specialising in M&E projects. This role is integral to driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and fostering a 'world-class' quality culture within the organisation.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and continually improve the Integrated Management System (IMS), including the Quality Management System.
  • Oversee compliance, audit, and maintenance of third-party accreditations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent documentation creation, control, and conformance.
  • Drive improvements to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed quality standards.
  • Implement lean principles to contribute to the reduction of waste.
  • Monitor compliance to company procedures and legislative requirements through internal and external audits.
  • Maintain registration to ISO9001 and work with the HSE officer to maintain ISO14001, ISO45001.
  • Provide documentation support to projects, including packs, ITPs, and inspection sign-offs.
  • Chair monthly Quality meetings and conduct quarterly management reviews of Quality compliance.
  • Coordinate inspection resources and collate quality data to drive improvement trends.
  • Manage a team of Quality Engineers & Inspectors, providing support and leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in QMS system generation, management, and auditing.
  • Experience within fabrication and large M&E projects
  • Desirable: HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of Fabrication and Welding processes, NDT processes, and the ability to read Engineering drawings is advantageous.
  • Understanding of CDM - Principal Designer & Principal Contractor duties.
