What you will get in your new role
This position offers a salary of £24,000 to £26,000 per annum and provides an in office work schedule of Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, however there can be some flexibility in hours for the right candidate. Responsibilities within your new role
* Bookkeeping up to trial balance for various clients
* Preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns
* Effective communication with HMRC on behalf of clients
* Assistance to clients via phone and in person
* Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Preparation of financial reports and statements
* Compliance with financial regulations and standards
* Any other related duties as required
Your personality, experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an accountancy practice and in using Xero. You will ideally possess a bookkeeping or accountancy qualification, or be part-qualified, and have thorough knowledge of HMRC requirements. While knowledge of payroll is advantageous, it is essential to be a confident communicator who can deal independently with clients. Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to meet tight deadlines are also crucial.
