My Tewkesbury-based client, a highly successful and well regarded engineering business, are offering an opportunity for someone to join their growing team. They require a Workshop Labourer/General hand to maintain workshop standards, keep the site impeccably clean and assist in general labouring duties.
Key Responsibilities – Workshop Labourer
To ensure the shop floor is kept clean and free of swarf and oil at all times.
To ensure all machines and swarf bins are regularly cleaned and emptied.
To load and unload customer’s/supplier’s vehicles with finished products and/or raw materials
To undertake various general labouring and packing duties as directed.
To keep the canteen area in a clean condition at all times and make the tea for the morning break when required.
To make local deliveries and collection of goods with the Company’s transport.
To assist the production area in certain machining processes including but not limited to bead blasting, wet blasting, barelling.
To undertake general maintenance duties as required.
To comply at all times with the Company’s Quality Control procedures.
10. To comply at all times with the Company’s Health and Safety policy.
11. To recommend to the Company’s management any method or process improvements which could enhance the quality of the Company’s products.
12. To maintain all production areas, including the washrooms and W C’s in orderly and clean condition at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements – Workshop Labourer
Excellent practical skills
experience of manufacturing or engineering environments
Drive to learn new skills
Happy to assist colleagues
Industrial cleaning experience
