Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer / Building Services Engineer to join our team at a leading data centre. You will be responsible for overseeing the electrical components of the facility, maintaining and operating the building management system (BMS), and managing small works installations. The role offers a competitive salary with shift allowance, bonus scheme, and private healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and service the electrical systems within the data centre.
Operate and troubleshoot the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal building performance.
Perform small works installations and electrical servicing tasks as required.
Manage electrical operations on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Occasionally assist with basic plumbing tasks, such as replacing taps.
Ensure timely and effective response to any electrical faults or issues.
Requirements:
Experience: 4-5 years in electrical engineering or building services (mandatory).
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm), averaging 3.5 shifts per week, working a 7-day period over 14 days (e.g., 2 days on, 2 days off).
Previous data centre experience is advantageous but not essential.
City & Guilds ONCs/HNCs or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
Apprenticeship background is highly regarded.
Certified data centre qualifications would be beneficial.
Benefits:
Salary: £45,000 per annum plus a 25% shift allowance.
Bonus Scheme: 10% of base salary (performance/objective-based).

Desired Qualifications:
Experience in a data centre environment or relevant certification.
Proficiency in maintaining and operating BMS systems.
Strong understanding of electrical servicing and installation work.
