Quality Engineer

JOB – Quality Engineer LOCATION – Newcastle TERM – Permanent SALARY – £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client is a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in Newcastle, supplying precision-engineered components and assemblies to a range of industries including aerospace, automotive, and energy. They are looking to expand their quality team by taking on a Quality Engineer to support continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards across production and inspection. The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement • Ability to use a range of inspection tools and interpret engineering drawings • Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, and SPC techniques is advantageous • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • A proactive and analytical approach to quality assurance The Quality Engineer role will involve: • Supporting production with day-to-day quality assurance activities • Conducting inspections and audits to maintain compliance with quality standards • Identifying and implementing process improvements across operations • Managing non-conformances, supplier quality issues, and customer feedback • Preparing and maintaining quality documentation and reports • Working closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure products meet specification If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
