Are you ready to take the next step in your culinary career? We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at a bustling pub/restaurant in Lutterworth. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Head Chef, stepping up to lead the kitchen in their absence, and ensuring the smooth operation of our fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef: Assist in leading the kitchen team, ensuring all dishes are prepared and delivered to the highest standards, meeting company specifications.
Leadership: Step up and take charge in the Head Chef’s absence, maintaining consistency and quality.
Training & Development: Mentor and train junior chefs, ensuring they adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain the highest standards in food preparation.
Cost Control: Assist in managing kitchen labor costs, stock rotation, and food ordering to optimize cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Flexibility: Be adaptable with shift patterns and willing to work different hours as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Passion for Food: A deep love for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional dishes.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with the kitchen team and FOH staff.
