Job Requirements of this School Cook job in Birmingham
Plan and prepare nutritious meals for students in accordance with school guidelines and dietary requirements as a school cook.

Collaborate with school staff to create a diverse and appealing menu that meets the nutritional needs of students as a school cook.

Ensure all meals are prepared and served on time, maintaining high-quality standards as a school cook.

Monitor food inventory, place orders for supplies, and manage the kitchen budget effectively as a school cook.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace as a school cook.

Accommodate special dietary needs and allergies, providing alternative menu options as required as a school cook.

Foster a positive and welcoming dining atmosphere for students and staff as a school cook.

Collaborate with school administrators to implement and update menu plans based on feedback and nutritional guidelines as a school cook.

Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices as a school cook.

Teach basic cookery skills to students if extending to a full-time position as a school cook.

Perform other related duties as assigned as a school cook
This is a part-time position with 20 hours per week during school hours, with the potential to become full-time for the right candidate with the ability to teach basic cookery.
