The Role:nAs a Data Governance Manager, you will:nUK GDPR, PECR and BCBS239 compliance.ncontinuous improvements and maximise the income and benefit of available data and increasing confidence and consistency in the quality of data.nrole will report into the Head of Data Governance within BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, part of the first line of defence.

Key Responsibilities:nCompletion of data governance documentation such Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Record of Processing Activities (RoPA), Cookie Privacy Assessments & Legitimate Interest Assessments.nAssessing data quality across BNP PF, complete root cause analysis where data is impacted.nManaging multiple stakeholders and understanding technology and commercial concepts quickly, e.g. working closely with Risk and Finance teams to ensure BCBS239 compliance and working closely with IT and marketing teams to manage cookies.nIdentifying areas of improvement in local practices, relative to managing data governance.nContributing to complex projects, orientating the project to deliver maximum business benefit whilst adhering to the data governance, protection, and management principles.nRepresenting the data governance team across analytical groups & business areas to provide advice & support on data infrastructure, data integrity, quality, and privacy. Advising of system recommendations and technical approaches to maintain controls / validation.nChampioning and growing awareness and knowledge of data governance to enhance the data culture across the organisation.nActing as a subject matter expert on data related issues, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to communicate data risks and administer guidance, training and educational materials when required.nWorking effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.

Skills & Attributes:

experience working within a data governance or protection setting.nstrong understanding of data protection regulations eg UK GDPR PECR 2003 and BCBS239.nto manage Senior Stakeholder relationships.n& ability to take initiative.nManagement with the proven ability of leading data projects (Desirable)ncommunication skills – verbal and written.nworking in a regulated environment.nlevel of accuracy and attention to detailnof working with different functional departments (e.g. Marketing, Risk, IT, security.)ninitiative and ownership of work.nrelationships internally and externally.nwith business needs
