The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an Assistant Lecturer in Psychology to join our team in our Birmingham Campus.

The Assistant Lecturer post provides an opportunity for an early career academic to gain experience and skills in learning, teaching and assessment practice in a Higher Education context. Under the supervision of an experienced academic you will contribute to teaching at different levels and provide academic support to individuals and groups, contribute to assessment, and undertake administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities.

About You:

You will need a BPS accredited degree or higher in Psychology, and have or be willing to attain HEA fellowship. You will have the ability to effectively communicate material of a specialist or technical nature relevant to Psychology, as well as contribute to programme enhancement; have excellent breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in Psychology, and be confident in the use of e-learning technologies and the use of all Microsoft 365 tools and applications. Some teaching or academic support experience is required.
