With the function already in place, they are looking for someone to continue with the ongoing Health & Safety requirements the business has, assess risk, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within our workplaces, and ensure compliance with mandatory regulations.

About you:nThe

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Officer

will need to possess the following experience or skills:nA qualification in Health and Safety (IOSH, NEBOSH) essential.nExperience or an understanding of ISO14001.nExperience of working within a health and safety and/or facilities team, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setting.nExcellent interpersonal skills, patience and diplomacy, to interact with all members of staff at all levels.nThe ability to work to a high attention to detail with strong critical thinking skills to assess risks and create reports to protect others against health, safety, and environmental dangers.nAn investigative mind, good analytical skills, and the ability to think critically to analyse data and compile it into usable material and reports.nProactive and solution focused approach.nExcellent communication skills and ability to present to C-Suite level and above.nExperience in auditing or inspecting to identify potential hazards.nCommitment to a safety-aware culture and drive to implement new processes as appropriate.

Our client offers a competitive salary, £40,000pa to £45,000pa plus benefits, which includes a company contributory pension, death in service insurance, 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays.
