Hamilton Fraser is a leading provider of specialist insurance and service solutions across various industries. We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Technology Solutions (IT) division as an Application Support Analyst in our Borehamwood office.

As an Application Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing Application Service Desk and Development support. This dynamic position involves offering 1st and 2nd line application support to internal teammates (customers) contributing to existing software functionality, and actively engaging in exciting new solutions currently under development.

The day to day:nProvide 1st and 2nd line application support for internal teammates, managing support and change requests through the creation, updating, and resolution of tickets.nSupport and maintain existing software functionality, identifying, analysing, and correcting defects within established service level agreements.nDevelop software in accordance with published standards and guidelines, including adherence to code standards and user interface design guidelines.nAssist in the preparation of systems and user documentation.nContribute to and maintain knowledge management systems.nLiaise with software vendor support services to ensure incidents are resolved within agreed Service Levels, escalating when required.nContinually update skills by learning new and relevant technologies.

About you:nPrevious experience in a similar Application Service Desk or support role.nProficiency in providing 1st and 2nd line software support.nKnowledge of software development practices, including coding standards and user interface design.nExperience working with API Tools (e.g. Postman)nSolid understanding of SQL or demonstrable experience of working with solutions in SQLnStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.nExperience liaising with software vendor support services.nA proactive approach to updating skills and learning new technologies.
