ESP is part of Cathay Group, we are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to join a small friendly business which makes educational medical models.
Join our dynamic team as a Production Supervisor, where you will play a vital role in our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture Medical Devices/Optical Equipment: Assist in the production of high-quality medical devices and optical equipment.
* Receipt of Goods into Warehouse: Efficiently manage the receipt of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Picking and Packing Orders: Handle the picking and packing of orders to meet customer requirements.
* Maintaining Stock Levels: Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
* Arranging Collections: Organize domestic and international collections of finished products, including commercial documentation for overseas shipments.
* Liaise with Customer Service/Sales: Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales Assistants to ensure the smooth running of the order and manufacturing processes.
* Premises Management: Share responsibility for the opening and closing of the premises.
* Technical Support: Provide technical information on products to resolve customer issues effectively.
* Sourcing Alternatives: Source alternatives for production parts from external companies when products are discontinued or to obtain optimal prices.
* Office Duties: Perform various office duties, including IT tasks, internet capabilities, and regular email communications.
* Product Knowledge: Serve as the main knowledge point for SV products and train staff accordingly.
* Overcome Supply Issues: Address and resolve supply, dispatch, and distribution issues with couriers and customers.
* Staff Absence Management: Maintain the staff absence log for annual and sick leave, liaising with HR and Payroll as necessary.
* Head Office Liaison: Maintain close communication with the Head Office to ensure smooth site operations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturing and warehouse operations.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities efficiently.
* Technical aptitude and IT knowledge.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
