We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Assistant to join our client's team in Ashington. The ideal candidate will support quality assurance processes and ensure that products comply with all regulatory and company standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about quality in the food industry and eager to contribute to a leading company's success. It is a fully office based role, so you must be able to commute to Ashington Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems and protocols.
Conduct routine inspections and audits of raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
Document and analyse quality control test results and findings.
Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Assist in training staff on quality assurance and food safety protocols. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). What We Offer:
