The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to pupils who require additional assistance with their learning. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one support to pupils with specific learning needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Assisting pupils with their academic work, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning.
Implementing individualised learning plans and strategies to support the development of key skills.
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as required.
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all pupils feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or a related field would be advantageous.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
