We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our client who cover Civils & Groundworks. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the costs of construction projects, ensuring financial control and delivering projects within budget. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in quantity surveying, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
* Cost Management:
* Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
* Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase.
* Identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
* Contract Administration:
* Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
* Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Handle variations and claims effectively.
* Risk Management:
* Identify and assess project risks related to costs and advise on mitigation strategies.
* Provide support in dispute resolution and conflict management.
* Financial Reporting:
* Prepare and present financial reports to project stakeholders.
* Monitor project financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
* Collaboration:
* Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Participate in regular project meetings to provide cost-related updates.
* Compliance:
* Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to quantity surveying.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Groundworks or Civils experience is preferred but not essential
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., Excel, cost estimating software)
