Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Premises Manager to oversee the maintenance and security of our primary school premises in Southwark. The Premises Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the school environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school premises, including security, maintenance, and cleaning
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or health and safety issues
- Coordinate with external contractors for repairs and maintenance work as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of spaces for events, meetings, and activities
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and order replacements as necessary
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents on the premises
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to premises management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in premises management, facilities management, or a related field
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures, particularly in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a school environment is preferred
