Our well established Hedge Fund client is seeking and experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager to join their London based team in a permanent role:
This role is circa £70 - 80k base salary and will be based onsite in central London 4 days a week with 1 home office.
Your Role:
We seek an experienced Business Analyst/Project manager for our Hedge Fund business. The successful candidate will work closely with all different business stakeholders on workflow automation solutions concerning compliance, risk, portfolio management, operations, and trading.nThe candidate should demonstrate strong technical skills and financial product knowledge. They must have experience working alongside a global team to deliver solutions that adhere to firm wide standards. They will oversee the implementation and configuration to provide the solution to the end business user. The role is one that requires full understanding of the in house and third-party systems and dependencies. It is also required to be able to design and create the reporting and controls that need to be in place to maintain the solutions.
Job Description:
Work closely with Compliance team to produce regulatory reporting for the firm to be compliant with regulators requirements.nElicit requirements using a variety of techniques to build the specification.nCritically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts and providing options to the business sponsor.nAct as conduit between the business sponsor and the software development team/third party vendor.nProactive communication with business units around progress and delivery timeframes.nDesign and document the controls required to maintain solutions.nPlan and design the implementation phase of any project while considering go live and ongoing support process.nOversee and/or implement the deployment of solutions into the live environment. It is possible that the final solution could be fully controlled by the change team.nProvide user documentation for any applications and processes implemented.
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or IT related field and relevant work experience.nComprehensive understanding of financial instruments including but not limited to: CDS, IRS, fixed income, equities, equity derivatives, ETD, Commodity and FX.nAbility to write complex SQL.nUnderstand both Oracle and SQL Server.nAbility to work with XSLT with respect to configuring XML files to maintain mappings for incoming and outgoing feeds.nExperience in the coordination, managing and planning the release of application changes into live trading environments.nAbility to work independently to meet goals and objectives with minimal supervision.nTeam player with excellent consultative and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively with management and staff, vendors and consultants.nStrong problem solving and time management skills.nAbility to continually sort assignments, manage conflicting priorities and accept changing deadlines.nAbility to work well under pressure, responding to critical requests calmly and efficiently.nExceptional interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to form and maintain effective working relationships at all levels and across reporting lines.nDiscretion in handling confidential or sensitive information.nFamiliarity with Bloomberg SAPI/Data License and DAPI.nVBA within Excel
