We are currently seeking a committed and adaptable SEN Maths Tutor to join our Secondary schools in Halstead, starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering specialized maths instruction to students with special educational needs (SEN).
As an SEN Maths Tutor, your primary role will involve creating and delivering tailored lesson plans that address the unique learning requirements of each student. You will work closely with other educators and support staff to ensure that every student receives the necessary support to succeed academically. Your ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs of students is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
Maintain detailed records of student achievements and challenges.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your expertise in SEN education.
The ideal SEN Maths Tutor will have:
A relevant teaching qualification and experience in tutoring maths at the secondary level.
A solid understanding of special educational needs and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a dedication to creating a positive learning environment.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
