Role Title: Head of Operations Salary: Excellent basic salary plus benefits Location: Leicestershire We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead the end-to-end operation of a large, purpose-built automated warehouse. You’ll be responsible for ensuring outstanding performance across all areas, from site management and customer service to health and safety, sustainability, financial results, and stakeholder collaboration. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in the implementation of the new facility, its systems, and processes, before taking full leadership of the operational team and the day-to-day running of the warehouse. Responsibilities include: Leading the setup and establishment of the new warehouse site and systems Recruiting and building your operational team Defining key processes, performance metrics, and service standards Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and business partners Collaborating with 3PL, warehouse automation, and WMS partners to ensure smooth implementation Fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture Overseeing the operational launch and transition of operations into the new facility Maintaining service excellence and operational stability through change Strengthening stakeholder and supplier relationships to support business growth Embedding “business as usual” operations, driving consistency and reliability Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Developing and growing your team, promoting accountability, innovation, and continuous learning Embedding company culture, values, and behaviours throughout the operation Candidate requirements: Proven track record in senior operational or logistics leadership roles Strong understanding of automated warehouse systems and best practices Focused on delivering excellent customer service Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage teams and stakeholders at all levels Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivering results Commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and sustainability Collaborative in style with an entrepreneurial mindset If this sounds of interest, please send your CV in Word format, quoting reference 33433/LT/EL detailing your current remuneration package and availability.
