The Job You’ll Do:
* Fabricate and weld components as per technical engineering drawings.
* Single and multi-run fillets, burning and grinding.
* Use of hand tools.
* Assessing which welding equipment is required and which method is the most appropriate for a specific welding task.
* Inspecting welded surfaces and dressing them for the best finish.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
* An understanding of the properties of the materials you work with
* Inspecting finished work to verify that it meets specifications.
* Ensuring that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.
About You:
* Experience of MIG/TIG welding on aluminium or steel.
* Experience with CAD or other design software is desirable, but not required.
* To be able to work independently.
* To be able to work precisely.
* Good concentration levels.
* Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
