Frontline Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Engineer for our client, a food manufacturer based in Nuneaton.
Our Client is one of the top 5 fastest growing snacking manufactures in the UK. This is an exciting time to join their growing site engineering team.

A great day for you means ensuring the plant is safe, sharing plans for future changes and improvements, achieving your daily goals, and staying on track to meet your long-term objectives.
The Role Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of plant maintenance to ensure safety and maximise production uptime.
* Identify, develop, and implement improvements to equipment and workflows to continuously elevate standards.
* React promptly to unplanned downtime, work with operators to restore safe operations quickly, and regularly analyse the root causes of top downtime factors.
* Identify key operators and assist in developing their skills and understanding of equipment to help with routine maintenance tasks, allowing the engineering team to focus on further improvements.
* Participate in site-wide activities that promote improvements and benefit both the business and the community by minimising the environmental impact and driving business performance towards being the best in healthy snacking.
Knowledge Requirements:
Safety: A solid understanding of how to keep people and products safe, with a preference for formal safety training (IOSH or similar).
Multiskilled Engineer: Competent and qualified to handle both mechanical (30%) and electrical (70%) issues, ideally with skills in PLC interrogation and problem-solving.
Continuous Improvement: A strong grasp of good manufacturing practices and the role of engineers in implementing them. You should be able to manage CI projects, deliver improvements quickly, and strive for daily enhancements.
Communication: The ability to convey messages quickly and simply to the relevant audience.
