Production Planner

Position: Production PlannerSalary: £20 - £25 per hourLocation: KempstonProactive are currently working with a client who are a market leader in their field based in Kempston.The client are currently in need of a Production Planner. The need is due to rapid company growth, the successful candidate will be joining a thriving business and be helping maintain the site's function through this exciting influx of work.You will be responsible for: Working with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure enquiries are addressed for manufacturing, service and projectsWork with engineering and manufacturing on Bill Of Material (BOM) review and analysisMaintain reports and monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory processesSupport the purchase requisition process, monitor and communicate progress through the process across multiple departmentsConduct follow-up with buyers, planners and requestors regarding completion of open Purchase Requisitions or Manufacturing Orders.Work with Managers to plan and manage productionReview production plans and schedules to identify and report potential risksAvoid shortages and excess of equipment and materialReview production requirements and establish priorities and schedulesMonitor progress of manufacturing orders by planning and monitoring material movement in productionPlan equipment and material needs for manufacturing orders and service/sparesWork with Management in resolving production planning and control issuesPrepare job order documents and give timely approvalsWork with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer specificationsWork with Product Line Management, Service Technical Support, Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering on end of life (EOL) item lifecycle.Communicate production updates to management on regular basis.Assist in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established scheduleOther related tasks reasonably expected by the businessExperience/Qualifications: Understanding of ERP and MRP toolsExperience of ERP systems such as SAP, JDEdwards, Deltek, Syspro, Epicor or similarKnowledge of Manufacturing methods and assembly processesDetailed project planning of Manufacturing Operations and ProcessesExcellent Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasksIf you are interested in this position, please apply with a copy of your CV & a member of our team will be in touch to discuss the opportunity with you in further detail.How to Apply: For more information on the role, or an informal discussion regarding opportunities we have available, please contact Charley McCleave on (phone number removed) or .Why work with Proactive?Proactive Global is an industry leading, specialist engineering recruitment agency focused on the automation, manufacturing and robotics sectors.
