About the role:
Astute's Renewables team is partnered with an electric vehicle (EV) charge point installer and independent connection provider (ICP) who have a large order book and diverse client base across the UK. We're looking to recruit a Head of Commercial and Estimating to help cover the Glasgow area.
The Head of Commercial and Estimating role comes with a salary of up to £90,000 and company car, private health care and fuel card.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to a Chief Commercial Officer you will:
Ensure high performance across the estimating and commercial teams, providing mentoring and development.
To meet projects deadlines, the successful candidate will allocate resources effectively.
Complete regular performance analysis of the teams and provide constructive feedback.
To support with preparation of cost estimates (labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs)
Promote best practise and implement new processes.
Ensure complete compliance in line with industry regulations.
Analyse market trends and competitive activities.
Develop long term business relationships with clients, engineers and suppliers.
Managing the estimation department budgets.
Monitor project costs and budgets.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveyors, Business Administration or related field.
10 years' experience in construction estimating
4 years' experience within a leadership role
Understanding of ProEst, Bluebeam and PlanSwift
Personal skills:
The Head of Commercial and Estimating role would suit someone who is/has:
Excellent analytical background
Strong decision maker and problem-solving capabilities
Able to communicate effectively and maintain and build strong, lasting relationships
Work to tight deadlines and perform under pressure
Excellent organisation
Salary and benefits of the Business Development Manager role:
Salary depending on experience, up to £90,000
