Indirect Buyer

We are seeking a Buyer to join a professional services team within the procurement and supply chain department in Birmingham. The role involves managing procurement processes, supplier relationships, and optimising supply chain operations. Description Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favourable terms and conditions. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain service quality. Analyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and requirements. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations. Prepare reports and updates for management on procurement activities. Profile A successful Buyer should have: Experience in procurement and supply chain within professional services or a similar industry. Experience in soft FM and marketing categories are preferred. Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships effectively. Proficiency in using procurement tools and systems. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions. Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements. A collaborative approach to working with internal teams and stakeholders.
