Proactive Personnel are currently looking for Production Operatives to start work in Leyland on a temporary basis.
The job role will involve the following:
Breakout, examine and inspect materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
Mark and label containers, or products, using marking tools.
Record product, packaging, and order information on finishing daily docket.
Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
Remove completed boxed products and place onto pallets to customer specification.
Remove defective products or materials, and place in the designated waste bins provided.
Seal corrugated containers using automated tape machines and hand tools.
Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
Transport packages to finished goods holding area.
Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools.
Follow general and special instructions given by gluing operator.
Skills / Behaviours / Qualifications
Previous experience and a thorough understanding of the print/packaging industries and related businesses.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work on projects of diverse scope.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise, organize and follow through.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Pay is £11.44 per hour plus 20% SHIFT PAY resulting to £13.72.
Hours are - 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm rotating weekly Friday is 6am to 11.30am or 11.30am to 5pm.
If you work well there will be an opportunity to be trained up & become a setter.
