SKC are recruiting for a leading pharmaceutical wholesale company specialising in parallel imports who are committed to providing hospitals and healthcare institutions with cost-effective medications to meet patient needs.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospital Sales Manager to drive sales and develop strategic partnerships in the parallel imports market.
Job Description:
As a Hospital Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to promote and increase the adoption of our parallel imported pharmaceutical products within the hospital sector. Your primary focus will be on building relationships with key stakeholders, driving sales growth, and achieving revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and target potential hospital customers to generate new business opportunities for our parallel imported pharmaceutical products.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in hospitals, including pharmacy directors, procurement managers, and medical professionals, to position our products as viable options.
Sales and Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets by effectively promoting and selling our parallel imported products to hospitals, highlighting the value proposition and cost-effectiveness of our offerings.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and changes in regulations related to parallel imports, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategies.
Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with hospital procurement teams to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while maintaining profitability.
Training and Education: Conduct product training sessions and educational programs for hospital staff, including pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, to increase product knowledge and facilitate usage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including regulatory affairs, supply chain, and marketing, to ensure smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and effective promotional campaigns.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular sales reports, analyze sales data, and provide insights to management on performance, market trends, and potential growth opportunities.
Requirements:
Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales, with specific experience in the parallel imports market and the hospital sector in the UK.
Strong understanding of the hospital procurement process and the UK healthcare system.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hospital decision-makers and healthcare professionals.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and develop strategies accordingly.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements for parallel imports in the UK pharmaceutical industry.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with hospital clients and attend industry events.
