Estimator/Quantity Surveyor

Role and Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed and accurate cost estimates for Civil Engineering projects, including roads, highway drainage, street lighting, and traffic signals.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documents to understand requirements and constraints.
Meet client deadlines efficiently.
Utilize industry-standard estimating software to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Sub-Contractors to gather necessary information.
Evaluate material, labor, and equipment costs for cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.
Identify and quantify project risks and contingencies.
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, conduct site visits, and negotiate with clients and subcontractors.
Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and cost factors.
Assist in value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.
Work Environment:
Open-plan office with on-site parking.
Core office hours: 8.30 am - 5.00 pm (4:30 pm on Fridays).
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
HNC, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
Proven experience as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor in Civil Engineering or Construction.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Skilled in industry-related estimating software and tools.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
UK Driving License.
