NESFircroft are partnering with a global cabling client sourcing a Project Planner to join and deliver on a high-profile construction project based in Scotland
As a Project Planner, you'll be ensuring the company resource planning and forecast systems are up to date and data is accurate and will also involve taking responsibility of the construction project, ensuring that the project follows internal planning standard procedures
The ideal candidate will have strong working experience within Primavera P6 on construction projects, or cabling projects (desirable).
Please note this role has been assessed as Inside IR35 (Umbrella & PAYE Only). Long term contracts available  
Responsibilities
Ensure internal planning standards are adhered to provide planning support to the project teams throughout the project, providing monitoring and controls, proactively keeping the project manager informed to accomplish all project goals.
Analyses project requirements with the project team, checking that all essential work activities have been identified in sufficient detail to provide realistic project schedules.
Monitor project progress and regularly analyse the programme to ensure all critical path activities and project milestones are progressed according to the plan.
Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, management, and subcontractors to identify potential changes in scope and quantify the impact of each change in a timely fashion.
Integrate material resource requirements with project schedule and defines procurement activities and order lead times.
Regularly communicates with the project team and updates schedules to ensure procurement activities take place in a timely way and lead times are optimized to meet schedule targets.
Communicate project progress and control issues to project management team and offers solutions.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Issue dashboards, progress reports, program updates and productivity data on a regular basis and as requested by the project
Qualifications / Background
Knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 – Essential
Demonstrate knowledge of construction contract requirements and application to the planner role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability and confidence for senior audiences
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills to quickly analyses complex situations.
Proven ability to effectively structure work to handle multiple demands and competing activities; to take control of issues and manage them through resolutions
Has a passion for customer satisfaction, problem solving and teamwork.
Understanding of project scheduling and reporting
