Role Overview: We are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teacher to join our SEN base, which caters to children with a range of needs including autism, ASD, and ADHD. This full-time role is set to begin in September and is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our students by providing specialised and individualised support.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, focusing on their specific needs and learning goals.
Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and facilitate their academic, social, and emotional development.
Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and learning.
Collaborate with mainstream teachers to ensure inclusive practices and smooth integration of SEN students into general education settings.
Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support and maintain open lines of communication.
Participate in regular training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in SEN education.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Proven experience working with children with autism, ASD, ADHD, and other SEN.
Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and dynamic team.What We Offer:
