The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Fabricator for a leading automotive company with stunning build workshops based in Newton Aycliffe and Darlington.nOur client is experiencing a period of rapid growth having secured a long-term contract for exciting, new, bespoke hand-built vehicles to widen their existing product range. This role will suite a highly desirable car enthusiast, working for a company of fellow enthusiasts.
Overview of the Role:nFabricatornSalary – £38,000nHolidays: 25 days plus 8 Bank holidaysnPensionnEmployee Referral Schemen40 hours per week Monday-Friday (early finish each Friday afternoon)nLocation – Newton Aycliffe, just off the A1(M)

ResponsibilitiesnPolicies:
Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the companynFabrication:
Fabricate and assemble structural components of vehicle bodies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standardsnWelding:
Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding, to join metal components together securely and accuratelynForming:
Utilise metal forming equipment such as presses, rollers, and brakes to shape and form sheet metal into required componentsnAssembly:
Assemble fabricated components into the body structure, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and finishnFabrication and build:
The full build phase and fabrication of the full car shell, the development of ongoing fabrication processes and jig and fixture concerns to ensure alignment with production intentnControl:
Inspect fabricated components and assembled structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Essential SkillsnProven experience as a welder or fabricator in a manufacturing or automotive environment is profferednProficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding, with the ability to pass welding certification testsnStrong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, equipment, and materialsnAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsnAttention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality worknGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentnPhysical ability and dexterity to perform fabrication tasks in a fast-paced production environmentnCommitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and proceduresnAn understanding of industry and regulatory requirements such Quality System Regulations (IATF16949, ISO9001, 5S, TPM, KPI’s).
