The opportunity is simple; all companies benefit from taking recruitment in-house and avoiding external recruiting fees. However, we want to extend our presence in education and care alongside any other market(s) we might select.
This is a new business sales role. Ongoing relationships and satisfying our customers' changing expectations is vitally important to us. You will therefore have an ongoing role to play with customers that offer the potential for further growth.
We can accommodate working from home, office or a hybrid approach. However, we do want to see each other in person now and again. We may therefore mandate key meetings at our offices in Medway, Kent.
The role of Recruitment System Sales Executive in detail
As a new business sales executive, your job will be to profile your market, initiate first contact and persuade Executives, HR leaders and Talent Acquisition leaders to review and purchase our product. Initially you will have access to somebody who can demonstrate our product on your behalf. However, over time, you will be expected to competently demonstrate the system yourself. Prospect demonstrations are commonly delivered via Microsoft Teams, but can be delivered in person, if justified.
Build a target list of appropriately screened organisations
Approach each target to promote interest and qualify buying potential
Adhere to a rigorous sales process with genuine prospects
Acquire contract signature after agreeing system delivery timescales
Regularly report your qualified opportunities and threats
You will be expected to secure your first sale within 2 months of starting in post. Ongoing targets are moderate and commissions are substantial. Commissions are paid quarterly and only after successful system delivery, as agreed with the customer. The typical period of time between contract and delivery completion is 2 weeks. The typical period of time between delivery completion and successful operation is a further 2 weeks.
The ideal candidate for Recruitment System Sales Executive
The ideal recruitment system sales executive will have the following aptitudes, skills and experience.

Competent with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams etc.)

Excellent communicator, both in person and over the telephone, MS Teams etc.
An understanding of the sales process and how to illicit interest in others.
Sales Experience
Experience of new business sales in a B2b (business to business) capacity.
Working to sales targets with sophisticated products.
Closing deals and signing contracts that are mutually beneficial.
Achieving targets.
Personal Background
To be a successful New Business Sales Executive requires a blend of interpersonal skills, energy and a strong sense of realism. Eliciting only feigned interest from prospective customers is a trap for many salespeople. It is wonderful to gain a positive reaction, but that reaction might not be entirely genuine. It may disguise negative factors that are moving against you. People who can tell the difference between genuine and feigned reactions are generally the winners in sales.
An aptitude for sales can be honed within many markets. However, new business sales requires a set of skills. They are hard to learn for people who fail to control situations or who are uncomfortable doing so. So, if you are personable, bright, motivated, honest, respectful and a bit of a control freak then you might be the person we are looking for.
Remuneration
This is to be discussed and based upon experience. However, uncapped commissions will be accrued at 20% of the net value of new annual subscription revenues. We have a bonus scheme for target achievement.
