Castle Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Complex Care Teaching Assistant to join a High Needs SEN school in York. As a Complex Care Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs within a SEN school environment. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience in high SEN or complex care settings and are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs. Paying £14 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with complex needs, including personal care assistance as required.
Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Support students with sensory integration, communication, mobility, and other specific needs to help them access the curriculum and participate in school activities.
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
Monitor and record student progress, behavior, and well-being, and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
 
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a high SEN or complex care setting, preferably within a school environment.
