Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Assistant Commercial Manager on a Permanent and full-time basis at our Westminster Bridge Road office.
A bit about the role:
As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you’ll use commercial and cost control acumen to add value to projects across each of Peabody’s operating regions and develop and improve the design and construction cost control ethos and range of data to sustain the growth and maintenance of our development programme of up to 2,000 new homes per year.
Some of the key results for the role include:
* Assist in commercial and procurement activities to add value at key project touchpoints across Peabody’s London operating regions and supporting within the surrounding Home Counties.
* Help to build, maintain, and advocate for a diligent approach to cost and opportunity management within the immediate team and throughout new business, land and partnerships, and delivery management disciplines in all regions.
* Contribute to, and manage aspects from a commercial perspective, the formation of consultant and contractor frameworks. Engage in key supplier liaison with disciplines such as cost control/quantity surveying, employer’s agents, main contractors, specialist contractors, etc.
* Partake in project work-stage reviews and approval events in line with Peabody’s governance procedures and operating framework requirements.
* Promote a positive health and safety culture, ensuring that activities carried out under your control or influence are in accordance with Peabody Health and Safety policies and particularly in the application of our duties under the CDM regulations and the Building Safety Act, throughout the life of projects.
This role will require a minimum of two days per week working at our Westminster Bridge Road office.
