In this pivotal role, individuals will be at the forefront of conducting comprehensive assessments for adults, identifying their needs, and crafting tailored support plans that promote independence and well-being. The council is committed to fostering an environment where the expertise of social workers is valued and their contributions to safeguarding vulnerable adults are recognised as vital.
Candidates will be entrusted with the responsibility of collaborating with service users, their families, and a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support. The ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions and the skill to navigate complex situations with sensitivity and resilience are paramount.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrable experience in adult social care within a local authority setting
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and implementing care plans
- A solid understanding of the legal framework surrounding adult social care, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005
