We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to support a program where we need to deploy someone at a customer facility in Luton (Mon to Fri). The role will be based across of a range of Products, and will work directly with engineering teams and with our customers project teams and customers.
Responsibilities:
Provide independent software assurance support to the development and release of software, verifying it is in accordance with the contracted and company standards.
Create and maintain software quality assurance plans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards.
Assess the ability of subcontracted companies to perform software development to required standards.
Assess projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.
Participate in software lifecycle reviews.
Performing software conformity reviews and physical/functional configuration audits.
Verify the release of deliverable software.
Background and Experience:
Knowledge and practical experience of software quality.
Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly "complex" industry.
Be a logical thinker, capable of translating complex data into actions with practical solutions that supports business goals.
Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
Preferably have demonstrated experience working in high precision manufacturing environment.
An Airborne software background, with good working knowledge of software standards RTCA/DO-178C, AS9115, and AQAP-2210 highly advantageous, but not essential.
Additional Requirements:
Must be a UK National due to security restrictions.
Ideally holds UK SC Level or above Security Clearance
Ideally be in commutable distance of Luton or willing to fund staying locally to be on-site Monday to Friday.Contract:
This role falls inside IR35 and requires engagement through an umbrella company
