Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Cambridgeshire
Job Type: Permanent / Hybrid
Join our innovative Engineering Team We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to collaborate with Quality, Design, and Production teams to create cutting-edge solutions and improve manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, test, and introduce new machinery and equipment.
Ensure designs meet compliance and safety standards.
Implement process improvement initiatives.
Develop DFM and DFA solutions.
Quickly resolve production issues.
Support new product introductions and update SOPs.
Collaborate with Quality Engineering to address part quality issues.
Assess alternative component parts for supply chain continuity.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering.
Experience in product development and special purpose machinery design.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred).
Ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings.
Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Familiarity with LEAN principles.
