Are you an experienced Offline Programmer looking to play a vital role in a dynamic manufacturing team? Then we want to hear from you.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to produce code for a range of 3 and 5 axis milling machines. As an integral part of the day-to-day operations, you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing process.
Your responsibilities will include creating effective work holding, selecting efficient tooling strategies, and preparing production documentation for the shop floor. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will liaise regularly with the machine shop to understand and resolve technical concerns.
Your responsibilities as an Offline Programmer:
* Develop and produce CNC programmes for 3 and 5 axis milling machines, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision.
* Create effective work holding solutions and select efficient tooling strategies to enhance production processes.
* Prepare detailed production documentation for the shop floor, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
* Communicate regularly with the machine shop to understand and address technical concerns and improve processes.
* Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing process through effective programming and process optimisation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall production efficiency and quality.
Your current experience which will help you as an Offline Programmer:
* A GCSE, diploma, or equivalent qualification, with strong technical skills.
* Experienced CNC Offline Programmer from a fast-paced environment, preferably within the precision engineering CNC milling and turning industry such as Motorsport, Automotive, or Aerospace.
* Proficiency in CAD CAM software applications, preferably HyperMill.
* Previous experience as a time-served CNC machine Setter/Operator.
* Strong understanding of tooling and cutting conditions for a wide range of metals and plastics.
* Ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Competitive salary up to £50k, dependent on experience.

* Day shift Monday to Friday.
* Occasional Overtime available.
