Unique School Solutions are working in partnership with a primary school in Sheffield (S8) to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to start in September 2024. This role is full-time, term time only.
Initially, the roles will be temporary through Unique School Solutions with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
School interviews will be held w/c 24th June.

The role
* To complement the professional work of Teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under the agreed system of supervision.
* Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/ group or short-term for whole classes.
* Monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
* Assess the need of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning.
* Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom.
* Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
* Encourage pupils to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all pupils in activities.
* Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement and self-reliance.
The candidate will have:
* GCSE Maths & English at grade C (or equivalent).
* Recent experience working as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
* Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or higher qualification (or equivalent).
* Training in relevant learning strategies e.g literacy or particular curriculum or learning need.
* Good understanding of child development and learning processes.
* A pragmatic ‘can do’ approach to tasks.
