SEN Teaching Assistant - Luton
We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our clients School in Luton. Our client is dedicated to providing excellent education and training, support for children and young people aged 2 to 19. Their pupils have severe and complex learning difficulties and health, and care needs. The Bedford school strives to uphold beliefs of fostering positive relationships with parents, carers, families, therapists, and professionals, as we believe collaboration is key to nurturing each child's potential.
The desired SEN teaching assistant for this Luton school will be willing learn, communicate, and have fun with their learners. To encourage positive and creative behaviour. Ensuring their learners are safe in school, on the playground, and out in the community.
Responsibility of a SEN teaching assistant:
Pupils behave safely and respectfully in school with the support of staff
Educating and training to provide a stimulating learning environment and personalised curriculum to ensure students learn successfully and safely
to promote safe behaviours to ensure students are prepared fully for adulthood
Be compassionate and understanding
To be patient
As a teaching assistant you'll be working closely with other members of staff to reflect positive behavioural support strategies. Using de-escalation techniques to manage behaviour. Motivating learners with rewards and celebrating achievements.
