Jenrick Engineering are currently recruiting for a Process Improvement Engineer on behalf of a leading foundry within the steel and iron castings industry. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who is from a foundry background and looking to progress their career within the continuous improvement sector. Offering a salary between £30k and £35k. You will work closely with the Technical Manager (process) and other vital leaders.

As a Process Improvement Engineer, the role will involve:
Minimising internal and external scrap
Being present in the development and methodology of parameters that produce sound castings
Pioneer design modifications needed to enhance the quality, reduce lead time, tooling and manufacturing costs
Maintain calibration of simulation software and measurement tools
Develop and maintain 'right time first time' culture
Advance and support operational methodology of simulation software
Co-ordinate and maintain QC systems according to VFL quality management
Reduce cost of manufacturing and eliminate re-working
Be a role model for the department to influence positive change
Mentor employees with potential and passion for learning
