About the Team and Role:

Become an integral part of a dynamic team within a collaborative, future forward environment supporting the world's largest online marketplace. eBay is a global e-commerce company operating in over 30 countries. eBay's tax department is looking for a manager to join its global transfer pricing team. This role will be based in Europe and will report under the global tax operations team based in San Jose.

The transfer pricing team at eBay develops and implements transfer pricing policies including intercompany agreements, ensures appropriate determination and recording of transfer pricing entries, provides tax planning, APA and tax controversy support, supervises intercompany transactions to ensure pricing remains consistent with the arm's length principle, prepares U.S. and foreign transfer pricing documentation and assists the businesses on intercompany pricing related matters.

What you Will Accomplish:

Working on various transfer pricing projects such as:

  • collaborate with teams in tax, legal, finance, accounting, financial reporting, and the business to ensure transfer pricing policies are accurately reflected in intercompany agreements and local financial statements,
  • conduct functional interviews, review and compile tested party data and transfer pricing documentation,
  • support foreign tax audits on transfer pricing matters, and assist with related risk assessment and associated analyses,
  • liaise with key finance and business contacts to build networks to ensure smooth management and communication of transfer pricing issues, and
  • supervise developments to transfer pricing rules and advise the business on the potential impact of these changes.

What You Will Bring:

  • A minimum of four to six years of experience with tax or transfer pricing related projects in either an advisory or corporate setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in economics, business, finance, mathematics, or statistics from an accredited college/university.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to work optimally in a team environment and make a positive contribution toward the overall success of the team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
  • Strong attention to detail while never losing site of the "big picture".
  • Use of MS Word, Excel, Access, and other tools to prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance. Prior experience working with SAP and Alteryx a plus.
  • Proficiency in English. Good command of German a plus.
