Are you an experienced Lab Technician from the textiles industry who is looking to join a business who offers personal development? Maybe you're a recent graduate with a relevant degree in textiles, looking to gain entry to the industry?

Join this well-established textile manufacturer in West Yorkshire as their new Lab Assistant. This role has become available due to two internal promotions within the team.

They're looking for someone who is passionate and dedicated to joining a loyal business who can offer career progression.

About You

  • This role is going to suit someone who enjoys a laboratory environment; you'll be inquisitive, self-motivated and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Ideally you'll have some experience of working in a lab within textiles, however you could also be a recent graduate in Textile Technology or Materials Science and looking for the first steps in your career.
  • Confidence is key - you will have involvement in daily meetings as well as being able to report to the wider team on your findings.
  • You should be adaptable to chage and be able to manage your day accordingly.
  • You'll be happy working onsite 5 days per week.

About The Job

  • You'll join as a Laboratory Technician and will work closely with the Senior Technician and Lab Manager.
  • You will perform various testing on textile products and log your data; this could include colour fastness, pilling, tensile testing and flammability.
  • You'll manage the sample process; recycling where needed.
  • Management of the lab consumables.
