Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer Location: Cumbria, Frimley, Filton, Farnborough, Portsmouth, Weymouth - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.Salary: CompetitiveWhat you'll be doing:Apply your subject matter expertise and domain experience to support the Engineering Manager and Sub-System Technical Lead in delivering underwater sensing systems and products to the submarine build programmeWork collectively in a team, developing customer requirements in combat systemsEnsure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authorityUnderstand the contractual and performance requirements for underwater sensing systems and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activitiesReview relevant supplier documentation and ensure it is captured and recorded appropriatelyWork with the sonar engineering team to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertiseYour skills and experiences:EssentialDegree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science)A basic level of knowledge of sonar systems in the defence, maritime or closely linked industry and the correct recognition of the context of their work within the overall productKnowledge of the engineering lifecycleKnowledge or at least recognition of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulationsBenefits:You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
