Sous Chef - Monday - Friday - London

Sous Chef - Monday - Friday 34,500 per annum London Vacherin are committed to delivering deliciously different experiences, having fun, and conducting business with a social and environmental conscience. We are excited to be recruiting for a Sous Chef to work at Estee Lauder. This is an exciting opportunity that involves working in a wonderful workplave site catering for 300-400 people for breakfast and lunch with catering for events provided on site.

Location: West end (Oxford circus/ Totteham court road)

Rate of pay: £34,500 per annum + optional overtime paid x1.5

Working pattern: Monday - Friday

Key responsibilities
• To prepare and, where necessary, serve all food to the highest standard for a high volume high quality staff dining outlet serving up to 400 customers for lunch on peak days with the main course section preparing up to 300 portions.
• Rotation between the hospitality, main course and cold sections with the rest of the kitchen team.
• To deputise in the Head Chef's absence overseeing a team of two Chef de parties and two kitchen porters.
• To assist the Head Chef in developing and planning menus that are in line with client and customer expectations at the relevant CH&CO site.
• Contribute to the achievement of all budgetary targets
• To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customers
• To ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for the menus being prepared and where necessary identify shortages and instigate action to source ingredients
• To assist in developing and producing new service styles and food concepts
