As the Warehouse/Logistics Operative, you will perform a range of logístical duties to support the smooth operations of the Logistics team.

This will include being responsible for the efficient and accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.


The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


  • Key Responsibilities_
The tasks you will be responsible for include (but not limited to):

  • Receive and process incoming stock and materials, checking for accuracy and quality;
  • Ensure that all goods are correctly stored and labelled in the warehouse;
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory, using appropriate computer software;
  • Operate forklifts and other machinery in a safe and responsible manner;
  • Perform regular stock checks and assist with periodic inventory audits;
  • Assist with unloading vehicles and checking in of stock
  • Collect items accurately and efficiently from throughout the warehouse, prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule;
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met;
  • Respond to queries from the Procurement team about materials and plant stock;
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of company materials and plant;
  • Work collaboratively with the drivers when it comes to collections, cross referencing clearance tickets against what the drivers have actually collected;
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of operations;
  • Plant checking if its completed and in working order
  • Continuously seek to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce waste;
Team Support

  • Represent the team
  • General support tasks associated with activities in the Logistics team
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager and Procurement team
Safeguarding & De-risking

  • Participate in relevant training programmes
  • Keep abreast of latest trends and developments
Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent approach to achieve objectives
  • Promote company and service excellence throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Support other members of the wider Operations Team where required
  • Contribute towards building and maintaining a positive workplace for all staff
