Teaching Assistant - Full Time - North London

Are you an empathetic individual with a passion for guiding young minds? Do you have the patience and understanding needed to work with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? We have a wonderful opportunity for you to become a full-time Teaching Assistant (TA) at a flourishing Special Educational Needs (SEN) primary school in North London.

Our client, a highly-regarded primary SEN school, is seeking a committed TA to support and motivate students with PMLD.

These students may have complex learning needs, and your role will be pivotal in helping them navigate their educational journey within a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting PMLD students, ensuring they are able to engage with the curriculum in a meaningful way.
  • Providing emotional support and implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
Adapting learning materials to meet each student's unique needs.

  • Collaborating closely with teachers and SENCO to monitor and evaluate students progress.
  • Encouraging students independence and selfconfidence, while maintaining a safe, positive learning environment.
What sets this school apart is their commitment to the development of their staff. The school firmly believes in the importance of a well-trained, specialised staff for student growth.

Therefore, they offer exceptional training opportunities to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to excel in your role and advance your career in SEN education.

This is more than a job.

It's an opportunity to join a school community that genuinely values their staff, encourages career progression, and gives you the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of their students.

If you're a patient, resilient individual with a genuine interest in SEN education, we'd love to hear from you.
