What you'll be responsible for:

  • Deal proactively and efficiently with telephone enquiries from patients, carers, GPs and other service users professionally, ensuring, where possible, that the caller's needs are met, or they are transferred to the most appropriate person.
  • Take responsibility for the accuracy of patient data on the Care Records System (CRS), amending patient and GP details as required.
  • Assist in meeting hospital targets for outpatient and inpatient waiting times targets. Prioritise and schedule new and follow up outpatient appointments.
  • Arrange appropriate appointments by person, telephone or letter and coordinate specialist requests liaising with clinicians and administrative teams.

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written

  • Microsoft office skills
  • Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous admin experience
  • Previous NHS experience
  • NHS System Knowledge
  • EPR (mandatory)
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information correctly
