Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Fitter to join a global manufacturer based in NW Manchester.

The successful candidates will be required to read engineering drawings to assemble and test complex valves and associated products.
Interested candidates must be Time Served with demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing assembly based environment. Experience in assembly of Pumps/ Valves /Gearboxes would be highly advantageous.

  • Friday 7AM 3PMAll OT Paid at premium ratesPackage also includes a 9% matched pension + private healthThis role is available for an immediate startThe Role * Carrying out assembly of products in line with standard operating procedures and relevant standards.
* Carrying out testing of products to specified product methods and in line with standards and procedures and health and safety requirements. * Liaising with supervisors on quality issues arising from manufacturing. * Ensuring that all tools/machines used are fit for purpose and reporting any problems to Supervision immediately. * Recommending and carrying out any improvements in line with the company's continuous improvement program. * Working at all time within Health and Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE. * Keeping accurate and up to date production records. * Showing flexibility and working in other parts of the production areas as required.
