Job description:

Step Into Teaching are looking forgraduate learning support assistantsfor a primary school inWolverhampton (WV13)offering a full time role starting ASAP for the remainder of the academic year.

The role is to supporting special educational needs students within a mainstream primary school.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is looking to gain experience before becoming an educational psychologist/SENCO.

The Opportunity:

  • Graduate Learning Support Assistant
  • Aspiring educational psychologists/ SEN Teachers
  • 1:1 & Small Group work
  • Primary school – rated 'Good' by Ofsted
  • Wolverhampton (WV13)
  • Full-time role – Monday - Friday
  • ASAP Start - July 2024
  • £450 - £490 per week - term time only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the class teacher to support children who need support in the classroom.
  • Supporting children with an EHCP alongside the SEN team
  • Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and small groups
  • Planning and resourcing intervention sessions
  • Working alongside other professionals to assess children
  • Supporting children pastorally to enable them to feel safe and secure both at school and at home.
